Com presença ilustre de Shogun, Maringá recebeu Paranaense de kickboxing
Ex-campeão do UFC esteve presente acompanhando a competição e incentivando os alunos do Instituto Shogun Rua.
No início do mês de maio o Parque do Japão, na cidade de Maringá, recebeu o Campeonato Paranaense de kickboxing, de ring e tatame. Com a presença de mais de 250 atletas, de 20 equipes e 50 cidades do Estado, a competição aconteceu entre os dias 4 e 5.
A competição contou com a presença de atletas do Instituto Shogun e da academia do ex-campeão do UFC. Maurício Shogun Rua marcou presença e foi um dos grandes destaques, acompanhando de perto as lutas, incentivando e fortalecendo sua imagem com projetos sociais.
Luana Barbosa, atleta da academia Shogun, lutou no K1 Rule e conquistou o título na categoria 56 kg. Outros quatro lutadores do projeto participaram da competição.

O Instituto Shogun Rua é uma associação sem fins lucrativos que visa o desenvolvimento social por meio de ações de esporte, prevenção às drogas e sustentabilidade. Esporte no Brasil
Atualmente o Kickboxing é o esporte de contato que mais cresce no Brasil. Introduzido no país por volta do final da década de 70, hoje é a modalidade que mais vem conquistando adeptos em todos os cantos do território nacional, fruto de um trabalho sério e constante da CBKB, que desde a sua fundação em 1.993, organiza centenas de eventos durante o ano, já filiou mais de vinte mil Faixas Coloridas e formou mais de 3.500 Faixas Preta.
Dos vinte e seis estados brasileiros, a CBKB está presente em 21 deles e ainda no Distrito Federal e organizou, todos os anos, desde 1.991, o Campeonato Brasileiro e a Copa Brasil, além de várias edições dos Campeonatos Sul Americano e Pan Americano, três edições da Copa do Mundo e o Campeonato Mundial da WAKO em 2013.
With Shogun’s illustrious presence, the city of Maringa hosted Parana’s Kickboxing Championship.
The former UFC champion attended the competition encouraging Shogun Rua Institute’s pupils.
At the beginning of May, Parque do Japao in the city of Maringa hosted both ring and mat modalities of Parana’s Kickboxing Championship. With the presence of more than 250 athletes and 20 teams from 50 cities, the competition took place between the 4th and 5th of May.
The competition was attended by athletes from the Shogun Institute and the former UFC champion’s gym club. Mauricio Shogun Rua was one of the greatest highlights present, closely attending the fights, encouraging and reinforcing his role within his social projects.
Shogun gym club’s athlete Luana Barbosa competed in the K1 Rule and won the 56kg category. Four other athletes who are part of the project also competed.

Kickboxing is currently the fastest growing contact sport in Brazil. Introduced in the country around the end of the 70’s, today is the mode that has been winning most fans in all corners of the national territory, the result of a serious and constant work of CBKB, which since its foundation in 1993, organizes hundreds of events during the year, has already affiliated more than twenty thousand Colored Bands and formed more than 3,500 Bands Black.
Of the twenty-six Brazilian states, CBKB is present in 21 of them and still in the Federal District and has organized every year since 1991 the Brazilian Championship and the Brazilian Cup, as well as several editions of the South American and Pan American Championships, three editions of the World Cup and the WAKO World Championship in 2013.
